The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, able, and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of
Careers and Employment Advisor to work with the Employer Engagement Lead and Careers department.

Ideally you will be from a business or careers working environment, enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated, able to instil confidence in students, staff, and external bodies alike whilst providing a full and efficient work placement service to students.

You should have a track record of outstanding professional success and committed to providing the highest quality experience for all students.

This post involves some evening work e. g. parents and information events.

Work Experience and Industry Placements at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College.


Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is committed to providing all our students with an outstanding programme of careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG).

The department offers a creative approach to careers guidance with traditional daily face-to-face, telephone and e-guidance appointments.

The department is pro-active in engaging with external organisations including networking with employers, HE institutions and apprenticeship providers to ensure students are provided with the very best in information and choices for progression routes.

We firmly believe that all students have an entitlement to such provision and recognise the key role it must play in achieving the College's aims of fulfilling each student's potential, providing equality of opportunity, and maintaining high standards of achievement.


A planned progressive programme of activities supports each student to choose a pathway which suits their interests and abilities and helps them to follow a career path which will allow them to sustain employment throughout their working lives.


The College has a track record of outstanding success in its delivery of extended work experiences, forging many new links with large businesses to provide highly successful placements.

We are considered to be a lead provider of T- Levels and have invested extensively into the refurbishment of accommodation, ensuring provision is of industry standard.


This post is to work alongside the Employer Engagement Lead and will combine offering careers information, advice and guidance to all students and also working with external organisations to create industry placement opportunities for our cohorts of students building capacity for the T-Level qualifications.

This role is based in the UK. Employment is conditional on confirmation of the right to work in the UK - either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
