Fabricator/ Welder with Overhead Crane

Location:
Bilston

Salary:
£14.18 per Hour

Shift Hours:
Mornings Monday to Thursday 5:45am to 2pm and Friday 5.45am to 11.45pm

Afternoons Monday to Thursday 2:15pm to 10.30pm Friday 12pm to 6pm

Jobsworth Recruitment have an immediate opportunity available for a Fabricator/ Welder with an Overhead crane license to join our client who specialises in the Safety barrier industry based at their site in Bilston.

Our client is one of the first companies in the UK to develop a range of independently tested highway safety barriers.

Primary Responsibilities

To read and interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials and any other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.

Ideally 3-5 years fabrication experience preferred
:

Use callipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and any other associated welding hand tools and equipment.
Maintain weld machines, using preventative maintenance methods.
Utilize and be able to use handheld power tools such as handheld drills, and grinders etc.
Maintain and control inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables.
Create specific weld fitment setups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements.
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes.
Perform all work in accordance to with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with management requirements.

have overhead crane licence
:

Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions.
Basic computer and utilization skills preferred.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
High attention to detail and selfmotivation skills.
Specific welding, fabrication training or certification preferred.
Work in a team environment and respect all team members.
Regularly lift large, heavy or awkward items.
Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.

Ability to operate a fork lift is an advantage.
