Cut to Length Operator
Starting salary £24,000

Hours: 7am - 4:15pm Monday - Friday

Looking for a secure position within a busy workshop?

Comton Group are pleased to be recruiting for a Cut to Length Operator
on behalf of our International client in Witton, West Midlands.

Your main duties will be:


  • Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
  • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks
  • Handling steel including coil and sheet
  • Loading and unloading vehicles for dispatch
  • Banding up and packing processed steel

Your profile

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:


  • Experience cutting metal
  • Forklift truck licence

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:


  • Overhead crane licence
  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence
  • Experience setting machine lines such as slitters, blanking lines, decoilers, guillotines etc.

Job Types:
Permanent, Full-time


Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Steel Cutting: 1 year (required)
