Here at Parkersteel we have an exciting opportunity for a
Tube Laser Operative to join our busy Operations team at our
Dudley Site.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 14:30pm to 10.30pm, and in return you will receive a competitive starting salary of
£27,040.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Startup & Shutdown of laser equipment
Setup of correct cutting parameters and laser operation
Maintain equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
Measure and verify that the parts produced meet print specs.
Safely operate a forklift to handle materials.
All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:

Must be able to read technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively and independently.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a strong, positive attitude

What are we looking for in our Tube Laser Operative?
The role will suit a team worker who is keen to learn and committed within this fast-paced workplace.

Experience in operation of similar equipment in a construction, factory or warehouse environment is essential, further training will be provided.

Reliability and efficiency are key attributes of the successful applicant.

You will have excellent attention to detail to ensure products are handled and stored correctly.

You will need to be able to work proactively within a team but also have the self-motivation to work alone at times.

Previous experience in a similar environment/role would be beneficial

Previous experience of running similar machinery
Manual handling experience
Overhead crane experience
A safety conscious individual
A quality conscious individual who strives to produce excellent quality goods
You will be an excellent communicator as well as a strong team player
