*The opportunity*We are looking for a driven, efficient and customer-focused individual who is extremely hands-on and used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Billi UK was recently divested from a larger water company and is now operating as a stand-alone business in its own right, whilst it has the backup of its new owners, the Strix group.
We are looking for someone who has a commonsense approach, is a pragmatic decision maker, able to operate autonomously under pressure, whilst taking ownership of a small team, primarily based in our London depot.
Key responsibilities will be inventory and logistics management across 5-10 locations/stockholdings throughout the UK, supporting 3rd Party logistics providers, managing fleet and ensuring our growing team of engineers are always fully stocked with the parts they need to service our customers.
- Supply Chain Management
- Warehouse Operations management
- Warehouse Layout Design (we are creating a brandnew site)
- Extensive knowledge of London routes/planning
- Freight Management (ideally with experience of import and export)
- System and process implementation coupled with experience of setting up new systems, improving ways of service delivery and efficiencies
- Budgeting & Cost Control
- Valid driving license
- Forklift truck license (ideally)
- Able to use own initiative and demonstrate a commonsense approach to duties
- Good written and verbal communication skills must be able to speak English well
- Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks and work overtime to meet delivery deadlines
- Building management & maintenance experience
- Equipment & hire management experience
Please note that during the first 4-8 weeks of employment, there will be a requirement for agile working and flexibility as we identify and set up our London Depot.
There will be an initial requirement to spend at least 3 days per week in Nottingham (for up to 4 weeks) with one of our 3rd party logistics partners.
Salary:
Up to £38,000.00 per year
