Description

The Medical Division at St Richards Hospital are looking for a positive and enthusiastic new member to join our friendly and pro-active team.

You will be working closely with senior clinical staff having direct involvement in improving patient care.

This exciting opening will provide a rewarding opportunity to develop the administration and IT within the senior nursing team, using a wide range of skills for varied tasks.

To support the Head of Nursing, Matron and senior nursing team by providing administrative support as required.

This will include assisting with agendas and minute taking, audit and data collation and input, and assisting matrons with root cause analysis and investigations in an administrative capacity.


Site specific administration role working with senior nursing teams and clinical governance manager to ensure compliance with divisional governance agenda.

  • To lead on administrative tasks required in order for the Matrons to fulfil their role effectively.
  • Collect and input data from wards onto central spread sheets and generate the monthly reports.
  • Assist wards and departments with data collation and facilitate the education of this with new managers.
  • Generate specific incident reports for wards or departments.
  • Provide administrative support to the matrons/sisters while they are undertaking root cause analysis or other investigations.
  • Manage filing and office duties as required.
  • Access electronic notes to support investigation work.
  • Ordering and stock control of stationery or other supplies.
  • Ordering ward essential equipment in the absence of the ward clerk, for example specialist bed hire.
  • Organisation and management of meetings, venues, agendas, speakers, refreshments and documents required for meetings, minute taking and dissemination of information.
