The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK's Building Services sector.

Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.


We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe.

We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe

Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a
Welding QA Inspector to support our growing
Fabrication Team.

Role:


As the Quality / Welding Inspector, you will supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations and escalate any issues that are raised to the Fabrication Manager, preforming quality stage inspections, weld inspection and as well as factory acceptance testing.

You will ensure that all quality stages are recorded on our electronic quality system to ensure full traceability of all production items through the prefabrication process.

During prefabrication reviews you may be required to present the quality process and information collated from previous similar jobs

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure production units match all approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
  • Inspect, test, measure & report on materials & products being produced.
  • Ensure all quality checks are completed and recorded withing the quality management system.
  • Accept or reject finished items.
  • Report inspection and test data.
  • Report and Record Non-Conformances.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:


Essential Criteria:


  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role within the M&E or manufacturing industries
  • CSWIP 3.1 / 3.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good mathematical and technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Good written and Oral communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings.

Desired Criteria:


  • GCSE at Grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of weld inspection.
  • An understanding of Electrical or Mechanical Schematics.
  • Certification in quality control is preferred.
  • Located within 20km from BT63 6NL.
