EK BAKERY is looking for a few people to join our team

You will be setting up and serving food for our pop-ups at offices and parties. You will be travelling from our kitchen with food prepared by our on-site baking team. This is a really fun role, you get to see lots of beautiful venues and fun offices, meet and talk with lots of new people and serve gorgeous food

This is an ad-hoc role. Some weeks there will be a few events, some weeks there will be none. Events are usually 4-6 hours long and are between the hours of 6am and 7pm.

The jobs are all over London but you will be leaving from and returning to our production kitchen in Hackney.

This is unsuitable for anyone looking for a full-time role. You must reliable and able to arrive on site for 6am.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be onsite at all EK BAKERY events
Engage with client before and during the event
Simple food preparation such as sandwiches, slicing cakes and brownies and decorating cakes
Moving food and tableware to the venue via taxi or hired car driving license not required
Set up tableware and food at the venue. This involves arranging food items and simple decorating of cakes
Service at venue, helping clients with any queries
Break down and clean up

Experience and Skills
Experience not required but you must have the following skills:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Events usually come in with a week or more notice.
Must have availability Monday through to Friday. Events are often on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday between the hours of 6am and 7pm. Flexible availability required.
Experience not required but you must have an interest in food. Please detail any relevant experience
Must be comfortable with lifting and moving heavy boxes. You will have a trolley to help you.
Must be tidy, clean and organised. Level 2 Food Hygiene Training and Allergen Training will be provided if you do not have these
Must have a keen eye for detail and an ability to style a table and cakes. Training will be provided.
Must be able to interact and engage with the clients in a highly professional manner
Must be able to work independently. Many of these events will be staffed solely by you.
