Customs Specialist

Cardiff, South Wales

£25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

Monday - Friday, 40 hours

  • Previous experience within a similar Customs role
  • Sea/Road Freight background is highly advantageous
  • CHIEF experience
  • Experience in using CDS custom system is preferred but not essential
  • Able to work under pressure and hold accountability under HMRC regulations
  • Professional organised and focused approach with a high level to attention and detail
  • Not afraid to roll their sleeves up
  • Someone who is dedicated to growth, personally and from a company perspective
  • Good communication skills both written and oral, with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Be flexible to work as needed

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Update, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of customs information across the internal systems
  • Understanding of Customs terminology
  • Asian customs experience highly advantageous
  • Ensure accurate records of goods imported
  • Raise necessary export, import and T1 documents
  • International/European Sea, Road and Air clearances
  • Quality check all documents to ensue quality and standard is maintained on all documentation
  • Maintain customer relationships
