Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Communications professional to join a fast-paced team in a dynamic Department at the University of Oxford.

The Communications Assistant position is a pivotal role within the Department of Education in what is a newly formed and expanding team.

We are looking for someone who has a background in communications ideally with experience including writing for a variety of channels, social media, digital communications, and internal communications.

The position will be looking after the daily management of our channels with a specific spotlight on one of our research centres - the Rees Centre.


The Rees Centre produces research evidence to improve policy and practice in the areas of children's social care and education.

The Centre aims to improve the life chances and particularly the educational outcomes of those who are, or have been supported by children's social care services, with a focus on children in need (including those in care), adoptive and special guardianship families and care experienced adults.

The Centre needs dedicated communications support to promote its work, in particular projects which are supported by the Nuffield Foundation.
