Hill HR are a growing Worcestershire based HR consultancy. We support small and medium sized business clients across the UK providing pragmatic HR and employment support.


We are looking for a great HR adviser to join our amazing and busy team based near Worcester, working directly with our clients.


The role
This role offers lots of autonomy to make it your own and no day is ever the same, but typically the role will involve:

  • reviewing, drafting and updating HR documentation (contracts, handbooks, policies).
- responding to various types of HR queries.
- supporting clients with processes such as disciplinary, grievance, poor performance and attendance and restructuring.
- support with running recruitment campaigns.
- updating HR systems.
- attending networking events and expos to represent Hill HR.
- support the team with preparations for training or meetings.

Working in an HR consultancy, supporting a variety of different businesses is not like working in corporate HR. You have to juggle workloads, be reactive and be able to work and switch between our different clients.

Therefore, you must be able to work confidently on your own, with the team available to support you.


We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable team and you must have exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.


The Person

The right person must have:

  • A good generalist HR background with experience of working in a similar role.
  • An up to date knowledge of employment legislation and be able to provide pragmatic, commercially focused and legally correct advice first time.
  • A flexible and cando approach.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage deadlines and client needs.
  • The ability to think and act widely and creatively and with support of the team to find solutions to resolve HR matters.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver client advice in either written or spoken form.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with our clients and with the team.
  • Be able to drive and be prepared to travel to client sites.
  • Excellent IT skills and any social media and posting skills would be an advantage.

  • Hours 15 hours per week (can be worked over 3, 4 or 5 days) with willingness to work additional hours if needed.
  • Salary £16 £18 per hour.

About Hill HR
We are 8 years old, based in Worcestershire and are currently a team of 3. We are fast growing and currently look after around 250 clients from a variety of industries.

Our clients are fantastic small businesses across the UK (even some internationally) who we are very passionate about supporting so they feel confident their HR is being done correctly.
