Job role and company overview
Glorious Brands is a luxury beauty distributor operating within the UK and Republic of Ireland.

We import products from brands from all over the world and distribute them to our retail partners both on the high street and online.

We also manage the ecommerce platforms for several our brands and run our own beauty website called Glorious Beauty.


The role of the Marketing Assistant within the marketing team has three key pillars to it, covering; digital marketing, customer services and general marketing tasks to support the day to day running of the department.

This role includes a variety of tasks and will provide an integral learning opportunity to somebody wanting to build a career in the beauty industry.


Digital Marketing

  • Work with the wider team to develop digital strategy across both owned E Commerce digital channels.
  • Strategize digital marketing campaigns using historical data and insights to come up with a solid plan to achieve targets.
  • Create digital marketing calendars for our E Commerce channels, ensuring activity happens within deadlines and results are tracked.
  • Work closely with the ecommerce team at Glorious Logistix to brief on activity and ensure healthy stock levels for new launches and promotions.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Review the customer journey to ensure consistent excellence.
  • Support our Amazon business where required, providing assets and copy across all brands as needed
  • Provide insight to the business stakeholders to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies, including suggesting new features and implementation of these features.
  • Understand rates of sale and the impact of PR/the wider marketing calendar to anticipate peaks in trade and therefore stock requirements.
  • Build up a solid understanding of the data provided by Shopify and Google Analytics, and use this to drive strategic decision making.
  • Assist in our social media process by scheduling our posts on each social channel.
  • Work closely with the rest of the team to drive content for each social channel.
  • Support Glorious Beauty with scheduling and content creation where required across all channels.
  • Ensure any social media activity carried out on the brands is logged in the monthly reports to the brand owners.

Customer Services

  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, professional attitude towards customers always.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and ensure a speedy, efficient conclusion.
  • Encourage customers to leave reviews on our websites.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell products.
  • Anticipate the needs of the customer and provide glorious customer service.
  • Manage challenging customers and situations in a professional manner.
  • Liaise with Glorious Logistics, our warehouse partner on all operational queries.
  • Using the same skills to respond proactively to our social media community management. Responding with efficiency and with the view of maximising opportunities for each of our brands.

General Marketing

  • Responsible for the data input of all information across all brands for the launch and products matrices, working closely with the Trade Marketing Manager.
  • Day to day responsibility of the brand launch matrices.
  • Communicate with brands directly to collate and be the keeper of all assets, POS and launch material.
  • Managing day to day communications with brands, to secure information and feedback where required. Ensure that we have everything we need from our brands to optimise sales in a timely manner and to our company deadlines.
  • Manage the expectations of the business, working closely with the Trade Marketing Manager by ensuring updates to launches/launch dates/products are communicated to the relevant people in good time.
  • General marketing tasks as directed by the business.
  • Assisting with new launch setup as required by our retailers (sending assets, copy etc).
  • Support with cycle meeting preparation, including creating presentations and sellin materials for the sales team.
  • Assist the marketing team with brand reports.
  • Assisting digital marketing with data reports.
  • Ensure marketing admin documents are in order and up to date including marketing calendars and new line forms.
  • Research and provide analysis of the competitive landscape, trends, pricing strategies and campaigns to ensure brands remain ahead of the curve.
  • Assisting with all kinds of event planning across the business.
  • Ensuring all relevant parts of the planning are executed according to the deadline.
  • Responsible for using the critical path and planning documents provided by the business to stay on track.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Excellent customer service.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Ability to be selfmotivated.
  • Solid communications skills with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
