Revenue and Collections Supervisor


Hours:9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility in accordance with the needs of the business. Happy to talk flexible working.


Responsibilities:


Purpose of the role:

Responsible for the revenue cycle (WIP and AR) of designated practice groups and all associated tasks that help achieve that aim.


Responsibilities:

Duties will include (but are not restricted to)

  • Meeting partners/associates on a monthly basis to discuss WIP and AR.
  • WIP Management to include time transfers and write off's.
  • Prepare monthly billing forecasts.
  • Produce monthly detailed analysis for the London Finance Committee meeting, to be reviewed by Supervisor
  • Ensure the write off's meet the correct approval requirements for both WIP and AR are adhered to.
  • Monthly and Quarterly reporting as required.

  • Encourage a compliance culture, and a high standard of billing, ensuring that they are correctly addressed, and are VAT and SRA compliant.
  • Proactive in WIP and AR management, and ensure that everything is chased in line with guidelines.
  • Query resolution.
  • Assist Partners with identifying monies on client account for swift resolution and ensure we remain SRA compliant.
  • Preparation of collection schedules for split markets.
  • Liaise with collection agencies as and when appropriate.
  • Assist cashiers with identification of cash received.
  • Client meetings as and when needed.
  • Obtain data needed such as ebilling references, and budget information to enable invoices to be ebilled.
  • Ensure notes are kept fully updated in the Revenue Management system.
  • Assist the Revenue & Collections Supervisor with WIP reserves.
  • Escalation of billing/collection issues to Revenue & Collections Supervisor when appropriate.
  • Management of the London Collections Mailbox as and when required
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
CICM would be an advantage but is not essential.


Experience, skills and personal attributes:


  • Proven (Legal Sector) background with specific experience within Billing, Revenue Control and Credit Control.
  • Additionally experience of Insurance collections particularly in the subscription market would be preferred.
  • Strong communication skills able to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Microsoft skills particularly Excel where advanced Excel will be required
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information
  • Ability to demonstrate judgment in the organisation and prioritisation of multiple assignments
  • Complete job assignments in an accurate, timely and professional manner
  • Experience of Aderant Expert, and Credit Force I4G desirable
  • Experience of interpreting Broker Signing Slips would be an advantage
