Description
Staffpower Group are currently working with a fantastic company in the Consett area. We are looking to recruit a Dispatch Operative to start ASAP on a
temp to perm contract.


The Dispatch department works alongside the Production department and the Sales Team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and despatched in a timely manner.

They are an integral part of the ordering process.


Wage and Hours:

- £10.

50 per hour and working hours will be in two shift patterns:

  • 8am 4pm Mon to Friday (40 hours)
  • 8am 5pm Mon to Thurs & 10am 2pm Sunday (40 hours)

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Organise orders by levels of priority and distribute relevant orders to Colour Dept. and Production Dept.
  • Pick orders.
  • Pack orders.
  • Inform Dispatch Supervisor or Customer Service Advisors of problem orders.
  • Use computer systems to produce package labels and produce courier manifests.
  • Create endofday manifest for relevant couriers.
  • Put returned orders back into stock.
  • Restock shelves when necessary.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy, particularly with regards to cardboard waste.
  • Observe health & safety requirements as per the company's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Observe quality management requirements as per the company's Quality Management Policy.
  • Any other duty reasonably requested by a supervisor or manager.

Qualifications / Experience:


  • Experience working in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and under pressure.
  • Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (desirable but not essential).

From £10.50 per hour
