Arriva TrainCare have an exciting opportunity for a Stabling & Commissioning Project Interface Leader based at our deport in Eastleigh.
This is a12 month fixed term contract reporting to the Depot Manager, this role will oversee the day-to-day management of stabling and commissioning projects at Eastleigh Depot:
- To effectively manage the day-to-day stabling and commissioning projects, specifically, but not limited to, Alstom contracts in respect of planning and customer communications.
- Be the single point of contact for ATC for all communications with the external customers.
- To ensure robust plans are in place to achieve customer requirements to the expected timeframes
- Produce detailed 7day plans for internal monitoring purposes, demonstrating required delivery to customer plans.
- To act as key contact for customers.
- Liaise with internal shunting team
- Manage demobilization of stabling and commissioning projects
- End to end management of Infrastructure works related to Commissioning projects requests and funding for facility upgrades / enhancements.
- On behalf of ATC, act as the client in line with CDM Regs where required.
Ensure all working methods are agreed with the customer
Ensure all reporting is conducted in an efficient manner with Depot team, Senior Managers, ATC Commercial department and Customers.
Produce detailed movements plans in line with capacity requirements.
Ensure customer staff are carrying out all works to the required and agreed safety standards, ensuring RAMS are provided and adhered to.
Responsible for successful delivery of all contractual obligations of stabling and commissioning contracts between ATC and specific customers, ensuring all tight timescales are met within customer expectations.
Provide support in the mobilization of all new stabling and commissioning projects and customer contract variations
Ensure all vehicle movements are planned in conjunction with the Depot teams
Participate in contract review for all customer contracts, on behalf of ATC.
Utilise business improvement techniques such as Kaizen, 5S and Lean to improve productivity, safety, and quality.
Implementing robust governance systems.
Assist and lead accident and incident investigation; and responsible for implementing improvements
Ensure work is performed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act,1974 GE/RT Network Rail Rule book, Group Standards, Depot Operations Instructions and the Arriva Traincare Quality, Safety and Environmental procedures and appropriate Vehicle Maintenance Instructions
Ensure the wellbeing of all relevant personnel and customers.
Populate and deliver meaningful KPI's for internal and external monitoring.
Ensure work locations are fit for purpose, compliant with relevant standards and the relevant documentation is completed
Govern the Use of all PPE in accordance with Company standards and local instructions
Ensure communication between shifts so all management is aware of all issues and expectations
Ensure movements vehicles on depot complies with the relevant company procedure.
Manage operational incidents to minimise disruption to both ATC infrastructure and customer's services
Manage sub-contractor's / agency personnel, ensure contractors / agency personnel are aware of and meet their full obligations to existing contracts and carry out their work in a safe manner
Maintain good employee relations within the Depot and follow appropriate HR policies and procedures when dealing with ER matters.
Carry out disciplinary investigations
Run a daily planning meeting to ensure customer requirements are delivered
Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output at the depot site.
Confident in carrying out Safety Tours, to ensure work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards
Participate in customer audits on behalf of ATC
Confident in dealing with employee relations
End to End management of infrastructure and facilities improvements required for stabling and commissioning projects working with ATC, our customers and external contractors to ensure works are completed in a timely and safe manner, with consideration to ATC and customer budgets.
Manage the demobilisation of stabling and commissioning project, ensuring forward planning to minimise additional costs to ATC and our customers.
Management of audit and customer review required and requested actions.
Good standard of education, minimum apprentice trained CI Fitter / Electrician
NVQ Level 3 certificate in Engineering - Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
Full PTS
Construction, Design & Management qualification
Full understanding of rail vehicle maintenance both electrical and me
