Description

The Role:

  • To be able to identify risk areas in the audit planning stage to ensure a thorough and smooth process
  • Good understanding of the compliance testing and evaluation and resolution of errors
  • Previous management experience and supervision and training of junior members of staff
  • Train juniors in various accounting software packages
  • Be able to lead client audit engagements which includes planning, directing and completing financial audits and ensuring regulatory requirements are in line with the standards
  • Ensure efficient resolution of audit files
  • Be able to oversee a portfolio of clients and be at the forefront of maintaining and building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
  • Provide recommendations for audit review queries

Personal/Qualification Specification:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite packages; CaseWare, Sage, Xero, CCH
  • Great leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly professional and commercially minded
