Description
The Role:
- To be able to identify risk areas in the audit planning stage to ensure a thorough and smooth process
- Good understanding of the compliance testing and evaluation and resolution of errors
- Previous management experience and supervision and training of junior members of staff
- Train juniors in various accounting software packages
- Be able to lead client audit engagements which includes planning, directing and completing financial audits and ensuring regulatory requirements are in line with the standards
- Ensure efficient resolution of audit files
- Be able to oversee a portfolio of clients and be at the forefront of maintaining and building relationships with new and existing clients
- Liaise with statutory authorities on behalf of clients
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
- Provide recommendations for audit review queries
Personal/Qualification Specification:
- ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Proficient in Microsoft suite packages; CaseWare, Sage, Xero, CCH
- Great leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly professional and commercially minded
