Description

Eden Brown are seeking a highly efficient Income Officer on a short term contract until the end of April with a possibility of an extension

This role will be based in Preston which includes hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office required (dependant on diary management)

Your role as Income Officer will involve:

Provide customers and their advocates with accurate information regarding their accounts including payment amounts and any debt that is owed and the range of payment options that are open to them.
Monitor accounts in a timely manner, identifying accounts where payments are missed and initiating the appropriate action in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure debt is minimised and recovered
Ensure that contact with customers is made in a timely manner, in an appropriate way that maximises the opportunity to prevent debt rising and recovers charges due
Signpost customers to appropriate agencies to obtain specialist debt and benefit advice
Ensure that all contact information is updated to the IT systems in a timely and accurate manner
Undertake visits to customers as appropriate
Prepare the appropriate paperwork for the recovery of debt owed through the Court process and ensure the paperwork is correctly, accurately and in a timely manner served on the Court and the customer in accordance with their procedures
Attend Court
