Description

For claims professionals who truly pride themselves on their ability to obtain prompt and fair settlement on even the most challenging of losses, then there can be few roles as rewarding as that of a Claims Executive.

This is particularly true when the role is with a much-respected insurance broker that puts its Claims Division, front and centre of its client service offering

In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for dealing with some of the most complex losses arising within the company's client list, as well as overseeing more straight-forward claims with key clients.

You will be dealing with a variety of claims (Motor, Liability, Business Interruption etc) spanning a variety of industry sectors, such as Construction, Manufacturing, Property Owners, Motor Trade, Retail and Distribution.

With the support of colleagues from across the Claims Division, you will help investigate the nature of claims, keeping your clients abreast of developments as the claims progress, and endeavouring to secure fair and prompt settlement under the policy terms.

Working in close conjunction with Account Executives and Account Directors you will help manage relationships with your clients, providing ongoing, consultative advice.

This will include duties such as holding regular claims review meetings, conducting presentations to clients on what to do in the event of a loss, presenting useful case studies to the insured, collating and presenting vital claims MI, and analysing trends in order to mitigate future losses.

Whilst this is by no means a business development role (and certainly without any sales targets), you may also be asked to accompany Account Executives on meetings with prospects to provide insight into the Claims Division.

Whilst it is not essential that you are currently a Claims Executive, you must have extensive experience of insurance claims and a knowledge of a variety of classes of insurance.

You must be a company ambassador who can manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, and confident when dealing with people from all walks of life; from the board room to the shop floor.

You should also be comfortable working with detailed management information and producing a variety of reports.

Whilst the majority of this broker's clients are based across Yorkshire, the North East and Lancashire, (and this is where the bulk of the claims will arise), many customers will have operations further afield requiring more travelling on occasion.

It is anticipated that you will be in the office, once or twice a week, and you will be granted a great deal of autonomy in regards to how you plan your diary in regards to working from home and visiting clients.

You will receive a generous basic salary, plus bonus and a comprehensive range of company benefits, including support towards professional qualifications.

You will also benefit from a high profile as a key player in one of the company's most respected teams, and as such, this role offers a myriad of opportunities for progression
