About us

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a charity providing care and support to people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting or terminal illness.

Every year we support more than 1200 people through our in-patient unit and in their own homes, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

The services the hospice offers were deemed Outstanding at the last CQC inspection and this is reflected in the love and support we receive from our donors, supporters and volunteers.

But our vital service only receives funding for one third of our operating costs, with the rest of the income having to be fundraised or generated through our shops.

This is why good marketing and communication is essential, helping us to engage with lots of different people - patients and their loved ones, supporters, donors and customers.

Not to mention our staff and volunteers.
