Do you have experience as a building surveyor or designer?:


_ Our Purpose_:


  • We assist people to live in their own homes for longer, by assessing their needs and adapting their home so they can access their own home and retain dignity and a quality of life. The role of the Trusted Assessor will be to assess individuals and their properties for adaptations where a full Occupational Therapy assessment is not required (for example, low level, standard adaptations).

_Your Role_:


  • They will work with Building Surveyors, Contractors, Registered Providers, Occupational Therapy services and other professionals as required to design a suitable scheme of adaptation that meet the occupant's needs; to draw up simple plans and schedule of works, including approving costs of work; and to engage and liaise with building contractors to carry out the works.
  • They will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of the work they commission and recommend payment of contractor's invoices on completed work.

  • They will also need to be confident to work with contractors and manage them on site where there are quality issues.
