Purpose of the role:


A400M Training Services Limited (ATSL) is a Joint Venture Company established between Thales UK Limited and Airbus Military SL (AMSL) for the purpose of delivering A400M Training, Services and Support at RAF Brize Norton.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Groundschool Instructor (GSI) to join the Company.

By contributing to the design of and delivering content you will enable the RAF's future pilots to carry outs key duties on the A400M.


Key responsibilities:


  • Managing, briefing and delivering the A400M UK Pilot course content provided by the UK MOD, including syllabus, ISpecs and other training documentation aligned with JSP82
  • Completing training records as required by ATSL which shall be in accordance with Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)

Skills, qualifications and experience:


  • As an experienced exmilitary pilot you will have gone on to achieve an instructional qualification (General Instructor Training (GIT) Course or the Defence Instructional Techniques Course (DITC) or the Defence Train The Trainer Course (DTTT)) and used this in either military or civil groundschool instruction on glass cockpit platforms. As a Groundschool instructor you must have experience of the following areas
  • Computer based training mentoring
  • Delivery of computer aided instruction lessons
