Description

Full Time Shop Assistant in Pet Supplies
37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday.

  • Requirements for the role_
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience, interest and understanding of animals.
  • Enthusiastic and self motivated using own initiative to identify tasks that need completing.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Confident with using technology including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to advise on and sell products and services.
  • Flexible if business needs or requires cover; including occasional Saturdays.
  • Daytoday tasks_
  • Advise and serve customers.
  • Use of till / taking card payments.
  • Merchandising and stocking store appropriately / reorganising, updating displays as necessary.
  • Placing orders, checking invoices, contacting suppliers.
  • Deal with deliveries this can be heavy, hard work and will involve lifting & carrying.
  • General cleaning / tidying of store and premises.
  • Weighing up stock.
  • Maintain stock levels.
Statutory holiday allowance on a pro rata basis (year runs Jan 1st to Dec 31st).


Salary:
National living / minimum wage dependant on age.


Interviews for this position will be held on
Monday and Friday mornings only at arranged/agreed appointment times.


Salary:
£5.50-£10.45 per hour
