Description

The post holder will support the Sister/Modern Matron and multidisciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the Outpatient team.

The post holder will act as a deputy to the Sister, as well as the lead for the pre-op team.

As a Band 6 nurse you should act as a role model, showing evidence of the specialist skills and knowledge that will enable you to deliver prescribed treatment and care for patients in an individual and sensitive manner.


The post holder will work in a wide variety of clinics covering a range of gynaecological conditions including hysteroscopy and colposcopy.

In the absence of the Sister, be responsible for professional day to day clinical leadership and operational management of the department.


As a band 6 you will act as a role model, adopting a flexible approach which encompasses management and clinical responsibilities.
