Young Enterprise Scotland has a rich heritage spanning over 30 years working in partnership with schools to enhance and enrich curriculum learning with personal and employability skills.

Young Enterprise Scotland has been inspiring & equipping young people to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise since 1992.

Every year they support around 15,000 young people, from all backgrounds, develop their business knowledge, entrepreneurial skills & ultimately become more employable.

The dedicated & passionate team of staff are supported by over 250 volunteers from the business community to help them to realise their vision for Scotland to be a place where all young people should be given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.

Young Enterprise Scotland set high standards whilst being creative in approach.

The delivery has widened and diversified across four key areas School Programmes, Pathway Programmes, Financial education and Bridge 2 Business.

The purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of fundraising objectives whilst working towards the YE Scotland vision, strategic plan and values.

A significant element of the role is to investigate and secure potential new revenue streams for the organisation, particularly within the private and public sector.

Role details:


Position Title:
Fundraising Executive

  • Location: Rouken Glen Office, Glasgow with hybrid working option

Band:
Executive

  • Rate: circa £ 25,500 (FTE) dependant on experienceReports to: Fundraising Manager
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Direct Reports:
N/A

  • Develop new relationships and partnerships, particularly within the private and public sector.
  • Prepare persuasive funding proposals for trusts, foundations, public and private sector partners as per Fundraising Plan.
  • Maintain and monitor accurate records of all fundraising activity and communications using Salesforce system.
  • Carry out research on existing and potential new funders through trustees, staff, partners, supporters, and other relevant sources.
  • Be responsive to and nurture the needs of existing partners and potential new funders.
  • Support events which allow existing and potential funders to have direct contact with the work of the organisation.
  • Attend meetings and networks/forums as required, ensuring that the exchange of ideas, resources and best practice is updated and maintained.
  • Complete and update statistical and administrative information timeously and in accordance with YE Scotlands, partner and funding requirements.
  • Market and promote YE Scotland by identifying valuable case studies to raise the profile of the charity and attendance at appropriate external events to represent and promote the organisation.
  • Stay up to date with sector trends and emerging themes and priorities.
  • Attend relevant internal and external meetings to support management and strategic plans and wider partnership plans.
  • Participate in regular appraisal and reporting with Line Manager, ensuring own continuous professional development is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Any other similar and appropriate work as agreed with line manager to benefit YE Scotland.
