AVPlacements have a great opportunity in the aviation supply chain sector above wing for a pre-Order Subject Matter Expert.

This role will be based close to Manchester Airport.

What's the purpose of role:


PreOrder is an integral part of the company's 5-year business with a client to plan with a target to add a large revenue & profit margin to the overall P&L of the program.


The Operations SME will produce process maps and project manage operations of getting the Pre-Orders to the plane, coordinating heavily with multiple key workstreams such as retail, managed services, last mile providers/warehouses & supply chain to have end-to-end ownership of the activity and ensuring successful delivery of this aspect of the program.


The role will help shape the retail SKU range being offered and help forecast requirements for the Supply Chain teams to organise delivery and distribution of stock.

This role is designed for someone a growth mindset who is able to manage stakeholders at various levels of the organisation and has the ability to find consensus among all stakeholders to get things done


Who you'll deal with:


Internal:

What you'll be doing:


  • Support company managed agent (MA) and last mile provider (LMP) warehouses to define operational processes for preorder for 28 x LMP's for large UK airline client
  • Map operational process flows for the full product lifecycle of a product order from supplier order, through warehouse / CDC / Logistics Process to final fulfilment to the aircraft.
  • Ownership of ensure a successful operational rollout of preorder solution project manage weekly catchups & detailed plan with the UK & Swiss LMP warehouses initially & any nuances between units
  • Clearly identify all legislative and/or licensing requirements to drive compliance across every aspect
  • Process map all processes related to preorder
  • LMP warehouse, managed agent needs, refunds, returns, edge cases (plus assist any other areas which affect operations including supply chain or retail)
  • Heavily input to requirements, workshops and weekly touchpoints with multiple technology vendors & other key workstreams with dependencies such as retail/supply chain/tech
  • Help define the end to end supply chain for preorder coordinating expertise provided by 3rd party in house organisation
  • Help define home delivery processes and develop project plans with central distribution centre to implement home delivery in the UK market

What you'll have:


  • High analytical with process mapping skills via MS Visio, Lucidchart or other tools essential
  • 5+ years' experience with operations in fulfilment warehouses (either retail or airline, ideally preordering/home delivery solutions) highly desirable
  • Lean six sigma qualifications desirable
  • Ability to be able to deliver analysis and processes where the brief is limited
  • Demonstrable analytical problemsolving mindset
  • Possess excellent presentation skills and able to communicate complex information to nontechnical audiences
  • Possess a curious mind and thrive in an environment which revolves around problem solving

£37,999.00-£42,000.00 per year
