Description

Provide solution sales support to sales engagements, marketing and business development, presenting Planning solutions, mapping customer requirements to solution capabilities, collaborating with Professional Services in proposal creation.

Increase, grow and develop the teams expertise in the region in the area of planning. Contribute to requirements and specification gathering for the Planning solution.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide full and reliable analyzed market data to support sales pitches
  • Analyze customer business requirements as a basis to propose Planning Solutions
  • Assist Sales Team in qualifying prospects
  • Responsible for indepth, broadbased presales presentations of the entire Centric Planning Solution suite
  • Configure Centric Software solutions which are fit for purpose through product presentations and supporting materials.
  • Produce written specifications (i.e. Solution Scope Documents and Use Case Documents) highlighting product features and benefits / valueadd to customers to capture business process requirements for proposed solutions.
  • Prepare response documentation for RFI/RFP requests
  • Analyze requirements and design solutions for complex customer requirements and its pain points
  • Ensure clear understanding of customer's technology requirements; providing support for Proposal and Project teams and technical leadership with a vision to win and deliver largescale, complex solutions.
  • Provide contributive input into future solution functionality, implementation methodology and customization standards.
  • Take part in marketing campaigns according to his/her understanding on markets and customer potential needs, ensuring that Sales pitches are also aligned

Competencies/Skills

  • Strategic Thinking Skills : Pre-Sales Consultants call upon their strategic thinking skills to craft successful sales pitches for their sales team. They also use their strategic thinking skills when contributing to marketing strategy meetings.
  • Analytical Skills: analyze the market before a product or sales campaign launches. The data they collect often makes or breaks a campaign, as it is used to craft a target customer for a given product.
  • Sales Skills: While Pre Sales Consultants may not be out in the field as much as their sales team, it takes supreme sales skills to be able to craft a successful sales pitch. They also call upon these sales skills when assisting in the lead qualification process.
  • Collaborative Skills: Whether it is with the sales team or the marketing team, Pre Sales Consultants are constantly collaborating. They use these skills when presenting their sales pitches to other team members, as well as when participating in strategy meetings.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar.
  • Availability for extensive (approx. 40%) overnight travel, depending on home location and territory.
  • Fashion / Specialty Retail Planning processes industry expertise.
  • Significant experience at large software Planning, Optimization, ERP, Supply Chain, PLM vendor (with similar presales role). Specifically, system demonstrations and presentation skills are needed.
  • Technical Skills: Windows server environment, Web Application server, HTML, JavaScript, Databases (MSSQL, Oracle)
  • Expertise in core principles including: document management, security and access control, multisite concurrency management, general project management, change management, and consultant and supplier management.
  • Ability to develop multilevel relationships of confidence and trust with customers and crossfunctional colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving technology and commercial environment.
  • Technology enthusiast with mature technical leadership skills.
  • Track record of presales success
