Our family-owned boutique nursery in Wandsworth is looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (School Hours) who has a passion for childcare and education.

AHN is an independent day care and preschool for children aged
10 months to 5 years. We are proud to be a
family-owned nursery that provides children with a
home away from home.

At Alexander House Nursery our goal is to
encourage independence and creativity. We aim to nurture, care for, and inspire every child in our care and lay the foundation that they need for their future; keeping them safe and educating them so those important next steps into school, and life, are made as easy and as bright as can be.

We believe in learning through play and the
Curiosity approach. These approaches allow children to learn by using their natural curiosity.

Allowing them to grow at their own pace by exploring, discovering and figure things out in a natural environment both indoors and outdoors.

We are open for
50 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm.


Early Years Practitioner Role Responsibilities:

Promote the
EYFS and work as part of our team in order to provide a happy and nurturing environment in which all our children can play, learn and develop.

Planning activities on a weekly basis in line with EYFS and nursery calendar of events.

Adhere to the policies & procedures of the company and compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted and the National Standards.

Build and maintain strong partnerships with our families to enhance learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

Act as a role model to our children, volunteers and trainee staff.


Our Early Years Practitioner should have:

• Level 3 Childcare Qualification (NNEB, Diploma NVQ3 or equivalent)
• A valid and enhanced DBS
• Experience working with children
• Understanding of children's development
• Good communication skills
• A passion and desire to go above and beyond
• A willingness to learn new skills
• Good team working skills
• A commitment to the setting and the role over a period of time as this is a permanent position.
• Leadership experience _(Desirable but not essential)_
