We have an exciting opportunity for an HSEQ Superintendent to join our client, based in Renfrewshire.

The HSEQ Superintendent supports the marine operations with responsibilities in communication, monitoring, and implementation of HSEQ policies.

Please note this is an officebased role that will require worldwide travel for vessel inspections_

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT- Requires Certificate of Competency at Class 2 Unlimited or equivalent degree in maritime as a minimum. Seagoing experience on tankers. Good knowledge and experience in marine industry HSEQ practices, marine Incident Investigation, and auditing. Good knowledge of international maritime regulations, statutory requirements, maritime safety, and security code (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS Code).
JOB DESCRIPTION- Perform shipboard audits to achieve and maintain accreditation in accordance with legislative requirements. Monitor HSEQ performance for marine Operations and proactively support continual improvement initiatives. Review vessel internal inspections, internal and external audit reports, and liaise closely with all relevant parties to ensure effective close out of any findings and approve closures. Effectively monitor and follow up on all incidents/near-miss reports and provide HSEQ support to Vessel Managers. Monitor vessel internal and external audits status to ensure audits are carried out in accordance with company requirements. Monitor compliance with local and international regulatory and statutory maritime frameworks such as but not limited to: ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, etc. Treat Health, Safety, Security, and Environment as priority.
