Lanes -I, a leading telecoms infrastructure provider with an ambitious growth trajectory, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team at our head office in Guildford.
With a projected turnover exceeding £130 million and a network of depots across London & the Southeast of England, we are disrupting the industry and delivering safe and sustainable infrastructure projects.
About the role:
As a Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our purchase ledger.
Proficiency in manipulating data accurately using Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite or a similar platform, are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a Junior Purchase Ledger Clerk, providing guidance and support
- Maintain the integrity of the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions
- Update the Fixed Asset Register with new asset acquisitions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including prepayments, accruals, and VAT returns
- Manage the unallocated transactions list, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records
- Review the Aged Creditor report monthly to reconcile balances
- Obtain copy invoices and statements from suppliers, ensuring uptodate accounts and reconciling supplier statements
- Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries
- Demonstrate attention to detail in identifying errors and discrepancies
- Serve as the first escalation point for team members, escalating concerns to Supervisors or Senior Finance Team members as necessary
- Efficiently handle accounts queries and provide timely information to other members of the Accounts team and the wider business
- Assist in the preparation of the Audit File
- Conduct crosstraining sessions for team members to ensure coverage during absences

- Minimum of five years' experience in a similar purchase ledger role with supervisory responsibilities
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to manipulate data accurately
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or a similar platform
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and discrepancies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problemsolving abilities
- Proactive approach and ability to prioritize workload effectively

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
