Pay Support Officer

Job Summary
This is an opportunity to work within the busy NHSBT Pay Support Department.

NHSBT Pay Support pays over 6,000 staff each month and the Pay Support Officer role includes maintaining employee records, setting up payments and deductions.

Expenses management. Query and overpayment handling.


Main duties of the job

  • Maintenance of the employee master file records including personal and pay data, ensuring that all master file data is up to date in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Provision of operational and user support for our systems to enable accurate and timely payment of expenses, and attendance data.
  • Coordinating systems data to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.

About You

Experience and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of DWP, PAYE and benefit in kind processes, procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of ESR, NHS Terms and Conditions 2018, Medical and Dental terms and conditions
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems

Qualifications and Training

  • Minimum of GCSE grade C or above including English and Maths or equivalent qualification
  • ECDL (part I & II) or ITQ2, or CLAIT II, or RSA II/III or equivalent qualification / demonstrable workplace experience
  • Demonstrates commitment to own continous learning and development
