The Role


Based in the School of Pharmacy, you will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist who will contribute to the delivery of teaching and our undergraduate work-based training for the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme, including clinical skills teaching and clinical reasoning across our MPharm curriculum and potentially within taught postgraduate programmes.

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of current themes and issues in the delivery of accredited MPharm programmes;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Creativity and innovation;
  • Ability to work well on own and as part of a team;
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and planning skills;
  • Understanding of the current themes and issues in developing programmes of workbased learning within an MPharm curriculum;
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate students or of supervising foundation trainees; and
  • Understanding and experience in processes involved in module and programme development and leadership (Desirable).

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • Registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Desirable

  • Independent prescribing qualification and annotation of GPhC Register.
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy
  • PhD (or equivalent)
