Job Title:
ICT Support Coordinator
Seaford College, Lavington Park, Petworth, West Sussex GU28 0NB
NO AGENCIES PLEASE

PURPOSE TO:
Ensure a continuous, high-quality level of user support. Ensure the reliable operation of ICT Systems in terms of academic and operational continuity. Manage the support ticket system, guarantee SLAs, and direct the ICT Support team in their day-to-day tasks. ICT Helpdesk oversight


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintain platforms and systems including network devices, security, data protection, Office 365, print management, mobile device management, physical and virtual servers, and WiFi
  • Lead the ICT Support team and promote firstclass customer service
  • Ensure that Helpdesk ticket SLAs are adhered to, within reason
  • Provision of firstclass technical support for all Staff, Students, Parents, and visitors
  • Ensure that team members follow the agreed ticket escalation protocol
  • Ensure fair distribution of helpdesk tickets and related tasks
  • Work with the ICT Services team to facilitate the installation and maintenance of software and hardware
  • Maintain uptodate records of all Seaford equipment
  • Oversee the database of users, network access rights, and Group Policy and Active Directory
  • Maintain a secure and uptodate knowledge of all ICT systems, services, and related documentation in the school
  • Participate in weekend event IT support

HEALTH AND SAFETY:


  • To promote the safeguarding and welfare of the pupils and young people as set out in the School's safeguarding policy
  • To ensure all work is undertaken in conjunction with Seaford College's Health and Safety Policies, all Risk Assessments are carried out and all work is undertaken to a safe and excellent standard
  • To ensure management and monitoring of all health and safety issues and close reporting and communications with Head of Department

TEAMWORK:


  • Be an active member of the ICT and Operations teams with input into meetings and the vision of the school
  • To engage and work with team members, staff, and associates of the college, showing a professional manner
  • To maintain and improve on skills/CPD relevant to the role
  • To undertake such other tasks pertinent to the work or needs of the school as may be reasonably requested

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:


Demonstratable experience of:


  • Experience in a variety of technologies
  • People management
  • Team leadership in 1st and 2nd line IT support


Knowledge of:


  • Windows and Apple OS
  • Office 365 and Desktop

Ability to:

  • Explain technical information to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and IT literacy
  • Diplomatically provide information, advice, and guidance on complex ICT issues, such as software compatibility
  • Manage people, lead a team

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

Experience or

Knowledge of:


  • Educational environments
  • Windows server tools such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, NPS
  • MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions, such as Datajar, Jamf, Meraki
  • Networking Protocols, Switching & Routing
  • Wireless Solutions, such as Ruckus, UniFi
  • Scripting and coding
  • Switch configuration
  • NAS and SAN systems
  • Programming
  • LMS (Learning Management Systems) such as Firefly, Moodle, Canvas

GENERAL MATTERS


To assist with duties and activities relating to the general administration and control of the school as the Headmaster and Governing Body shall, from time to time, reasonably require.


Salary:
£32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
