We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to join our business.

You will become part of the general nursery team carrying out duties such as:


  • Inserting of cuttings into propagation media trays.
  • Sowing of seeds either by hand or using a modern computerised seeding machine.
  • Trimming and gapping of plants prior to despatch.
  • Working with internal logistics' team.
  • Potting of plants either by hand or using modern potting machine.
  • Weeding, cleaning and crop husbandry.
  • Manual data collation relevant to role.
  • General crop hygiene practice.
  • Any other relevant duties that may be required.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:


  • Horticultural experience would be desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
  • Physically able to perform role.
  • Basic Maths and English required.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines at peak times of the year.
  • The work will be mainly indoors in the glass houses and so the individual must be able to work in warm and cool environments.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:


  • The role is nursery based.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract


Salary:
Up to £10.00 per hour
