Associate Principal Scientist for PAT (New Modalities)


Join our team as an Associate Principal Scientist for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and make a significant impact in the development and manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

As a specialist in PAT for New Modalities, you will drive technical excellence amongst our scientists, enabling them to identify and implement PAT in the development and manufacture of APIs.

This role is an opportunity to be a leader in PAT and a role model for people, skills, and communication.


Essential Skills/Experience:


  • Knowledge of Control Strategies, especially involving the implementation of spectroscopic methods.
  • Demonstrated success proposing and developing PATbased solutions.
  • A thorough understanding of the principles and management of SHE and cGMP.
  • Ability to think and operate across functional boundaries, constructively challenge the status quo and continually seek opportunities for novel work practices.
  • Experience supporting external collaborations in the development of new technologies.
  • An established track record of enhancing business reputation through scientific publications on PAT.

Desirable Skills/Experience:


  • Practical experience working on solid phase synthesis platforms such oligonucleotide or peptide chemical syntheses.
  • Interest in the use of automation and closedloop control in API manufacturing.
  • Appreciation of Data Science, and coding skills in Matlab or Python.
