Description
Main duties to the post:
- Administration of all transport bookings for Acorn Travel Group. To include quote searches, bookings, confirmations, reconfirmation, amendments, cancellations, accuracy control, invoice verification, payments.
- Create and maintain relationships with transport suppliers (coach, ferry, Eurotunnel, airlines).
- Support negotiation of rates and standards of service with an aim to maximise value for money and quality of transport provision.
- Internal liaison with Tour Organisers to ensure accuracy of requirements for transport suppliers.
- Monitoring supplier compliance against internal standards
- Complaint handling and feedback monitoring.
Skills required:
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills.
- Good negotiator.
- The ability to multitask and provide outstanding rapport with a wide variety of clients.
- Be proactive, possess integrity, tact and diplomacy as well as persistence.
- Methodical and well organised.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and the rest of Europe.
- Knowledge of Computer systems and programmes (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working in transport/logistics
- Ability to speak French
