We are currently recruiting for
IT Technician on behalf of our Client on Martland Park, Challenge Way, Wigan, WN5 0LD.

The position of IT technician is available with immediate start.

  • Monday till Friday only 8am to 4.30pm (with 1h lunch break),
  • Salary £ £22.000 per annum.

Requirements:


  • Experience_ 3 to 5 years experience with IT Background preferable.


  • Skills/Knowledge_

  • Microsoft Products, Good communication skills, Experience with an ERP system preferable, Knowledge of IT processes and procedures.


  • Personal Qualities_

  • Positive attitude/outlook, Flexible approach, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Willing to Learn.


  • Other Relevant Factors_

  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team. The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team to ensure a high level of quality service.

Prime Functions:


  • To monitor, fix and/or replacing of IT equipment and supporting users onsite with any IT related queries at our Wigan site,
  • To assist other IT staff with various functions, projects and to provide ongoing support to users and management when required,
  • To Assist with daily, weekly, and Monthly reporting and other audit related tasks.

Key Functions:


  • To review daily all equipment to ensure they are fully functional,
  • Assist in the setup, coordinating and maintenance of IT equipment,
  • To Perform first line IT support such as unlocking of accounts, resetting of passwords, general user IT queries /and problems where possible for all Wigan users,
  • Supervise all IT related visitors while on site and ensure security is adhere too,
  • Escalate issues if unable to resolve to Senior I.T technician or I.T Manager or IT Support company,
  • Part of the overall support Team in support other user / sites remotely,
  • To Assist with daily, weekly, and Monthly reporting and other audit related tasks,
  • To Assist with earmarked projects,
  • Training of new members of staff when required and assist them in using the use of approved software.
  • To Assist colleagues in use of software and printers to enable them to complete tasks in a more efficient manner,
  • To Assist with queries on the document server (INVU server),
  • To adhere in all respects to the company I.T. policies.

Support functions:


  • To Assist in the maintenance of all logs in relation to company hardware, peripheral and software are maintained,
  • To Asset with maintaining documentation and reporting as required for various Audits,
  • To Assist in the disposal of all redundant IT hardware through proper channels including updating the asset register in line with IT policies,
  • To Assist with the monitoring of systems,
  • Assisting of adding, removing or maintenance of users' access and privileges for various systems such as the AS400, mail, windows, INVU and other IT systems where required.
