An exciting opportunity for a DM Team Leader to play a lead role in one of London's most progressive and exciting boroughs.

My client is undergoing huge transformation with unparalleled levels of investment.

With major developments across southeast London, award-winning schemes, parks and regeneration projects, Creative Enterprise Zone Status, the Borough of Culture, and key transportprojects such as Lewisham Station, East London Line upgrade and the future Bakerloo Line extension, the transformation is well underway.


The DM Team Leader will lead the South Area Team of planners, covering the Major Town Centre of Catford with significant regeneration potential to historic areas such as Forest Hill and Sydenham and major safeguarded industrial areas with many proposed siteallocations as part of the Council's new draft Local Plan.

You will lead and support a team of planners working on significant regeneration and housing projects, and implement area frameworks and vision documents.


We are looking for a 6 month placement with potential for extension.

Main Purpose of the job:

  • To lead, manage and coordinate all the activities of the allocated Development Management South Area Teams within the Planning Service to drive the sustainable and effective development of the borough forward in the most efficient and responsive manner inaccordance with Lewisham's and the Planning Service vision and values.
  • To provide professional advice and professional support on all Planning matters.
  • To promote high quality development and placemaking across the Borough, ensuring a consistent approach.
  • To be part of the management team, contributing to the overall leadership and management of the division
  • To work with the other team leaders to ensure consistency
£44 PAYE £55 LTD UMB per hour

minimum 6 month booking

35 hours per week Mon to Fri
