Term-Time plus 2 weeks in the Summer, 36 hours per week


Start Date:
September 2023 (full time, long term contract offered for the full academic year)

Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Student Services and Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in providing support to students and maintaining accurate attendance records


Your responsibilities will include:

Student Services - Main Duties:


  • Assisting students with daytoday enquiries and handling student and parent queries
  • Providing first aid to pupils and staff, ensuring the first aid room is wellmaintained and adequately stocked
  • Collaborating with the school nurse on vaccinations and care plans for students
  • Handling communication with parents regarding vaccinations and overseeing pupil vaccinations
  • Issuing exit passes and updating Bromcom, the school's data management system
  • Recording absences, lates, and notes of appointments on Bromcom
  • Maintaining student records, including creating new pupil files and removing leaver files

Attendance - Main Duties:


  • Checking completion of registration for all classes and liaising with year leaders on student attendance issues
  • Communicating with parents/guardians through the MIS (Management Information System) regarding late students
  • Assisting with the implementation of the school's registration system through the MIS
  • Ensuring proper recording of late arrivals in the MIS
  • Monitoring and reporting student attendance percentages to the AHT through the MIS
  • Collaborating with relevant staff to improve attendance rates
  • Participating in developing the school's reward system related to attendance and behavior

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum of 2 years working in an office environment (educational setting desired)
  • Experience working in a school
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to an intermediate level
  • First Aid training or willingness to be trained
  • Ability to use BromCom
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • High attention to detail
