Description

We are seeking to recruit a Retail Driver/Warehouse Operative with a clean driving licence to work within a charity in East Kilbride.

An engaging personality and a friendly demeanour are required as you will be dealing with the public on a daily basis.

As part of a retail team, the post holder will be required to work alongside existing drivers, as well as retail volunteers.

Transporting donated stock to and from customers/ donors' homes
Providing a high standard of customer service
Safely transporting goods to and from private residences
Transporting stock between out 4 retail locations within South Lanarkshire
Rotating sold items of furniture within our furniture stores
Delivering stock replenishing to our shops
Sorting and preparing stock within our shops
Adhering to daily task manager and H&S policies
Full UK drivers licence requires

Items required to transport are all sizes - predominantly furniture - therefore the post holder must be physically fit. They will also be responsible for the volunteers working alongside them.

This is a hands-on role where the ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers is essential, but equally important is the willingness to work with them on day to day tasks.

This is a fast-paced dynamic environment, therefore a driver with good organisational skills, professional attitude and able to cope well under pressure is sought.

Salary:
£9.50 per hour
