Job Overview
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing internal legal processes and liaising with external legal service providers.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for legal inquiries within the company, manage the contract lifecycle, assist in external communications, and perform other duties as required.
Key Responsibility
- Point of Contact: Manage the legal inbox to organize incoming internal requests. Ensure a full and correct understanding of the requests before summarizing and directing them to the relevant person for handling. Provide guidance to other teams through legal processes.
- Contract Management: Log incoming contract requests and maintain a contract tracker. Follow up on progress, request esignatures for approved contracts, file the contracts, and pull contract templates from the database upon request.
- Inquiry Management: Conduct necessary research and prepare initial responses to inquiries.
- External Communication Assistance: Liaise with external legal service providers, attend meetings with such providers, and produce minutes for records.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks as required by the business and the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- A good team player but also able to complete tasks independently.
- Ability to take initiative.
Desirable:
- Professional experience in legal or compliance roles.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (speaking and writing) is preferred.
