Able to exercise judgement in identifying and assessing complex legal scenarios Able to advise senior clinicians of the legal [sometimes conflicting] options, outlining the implications of each to enable clinicians to come to a decision Able to interpret complex legislation and case law to advise clinicians and senior managers recommending actions to prevent litigation claims Able to advise people using services and their carers of their legal rights and the statutory duty of our Trust Ability to plan the work of the specialist MHA Admin To champion Equality and Human Rights, embedding this approach in all of your own work and that of the team you work in, as both an employer and provider of services.

Ability to support the MHA Coordinator in devising and maintaining operational systems to include local procedures and protocols for the specialist MHA Admin Department Able to support the development of strategies with senior managers and partner organisations in the implementation of the Mental Health Act 1983 Able to support and develop and deliver training packages for all staff within the organisation Contribute to MHA reports which are informative, analytical and able to give assurance of the quality of MHA administration in our Trust.

Able to deputise for the MHA Coordinator in their absence and oversee and maintain good standards of MHA administration.
