Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for an exciting opportunity in Tees Dock? Want to join the growing busy team of one of the UK's leading Port Operators?

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our welcoming team where you will work alongside existing transport professionals to assist with the continued growth of the modern distribution fleet.

Your key Transport Planner responsibility will be the smooth running of day-to-day operations, together with implementation of new contracts, utilising your excellent geographical knowledge.

Key Transport Planner responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate and control all inbound and outbound traffic
Ensure customer requests and special instructions are actioned
Ensure all health and safety requirements are met in accordance with safe working practices, security protocols and effective training
Communicate with other Transport Planners to ensure efficient and costeffective operation
Effective planning of vehicles to meet departmental budgets and individual/business KPI's

Personal Transport Planner specification:

Provide a firstclass transport service to customers whilst ensuring Health & Safety is not jeopardised
Plan vehicles effectively to meet departmental budgets and individual/business KPI's
Experience in all transport avenues, including flat trailers, curtainsiders and containers
Excellent customer service skills
Good IT knowledge
Excellent geographical knowledge for backloading vehicles
Good team player
