Key duties of the Payroll Co-ordinator will include:

  • Accurately collate and validate all payroll related data
  • Processing all new starters, leavers and contractual changes
  • Preparation of payroll transfer journal and recharges
  • Dealing with, and resolving payroll related queries
  • Monitoring/controlling nominal ledger code changes within payroll
  • Reconciliation of pension and payroll control accounts in the nominal ledger
  • Implementation of Wage Awards for all Companies
  • P11d's and Class 1A National Insurance returns
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Administration in relation to Pension Schemes
  • Conducting ongoing reviews of processes and actions
  • Provision of a range of reports

The successful Payroll Co-ordinator will require the following skills and experience:

  • UK payroll exposure is essential
  • Solid understanding of pension schemes and auto enrolment
  • Ability to resolve complex payroll and pension queries and explain them in a simple and clear manner
