Care Assistant for Person P/t @ in St - Bristol, United Kingdom - UKCIL
Description
**Disabled woman living in St Pauls with their medium sized dog.- Information about my client:
- I am a passionately left wing person who cares deeply for the environment & fairness for all. I love dogs & being in nature, identifying plants & foraging. I really benefit from a calm & gentle environment, but used to love being at events & used to DJ, sing & perform & really miss these outlets. I love music & creativity, good food, holistic therapies & creative clothing.
I am struggling with a lack of confidence from being unable to get out much in social scenarios, so would appreciate the company of somebody who can be compassionate to this & patient in supporting me to find ways to integrate more again.
I am diagnosed ADHD & awaiting Autism assessment so would appreciate someone who can understand the necessity of limiting over stimulation & assist me in staying organised & remembering things.
- Some understanding of neurodivergence & fluctuating chronic health problems & the emotional challenges that come with this are necessary.
I've recently experienced a significant bereavement which has impacted my mental health & it would be great to have the support of someone who can have awarenesses around this.
My strength & mobility have been significantly affected the past year, I don't use buses & generally rely on taxis & lifts to get around.
It would be a help to have someone who can drive but not necessary.- My client requires one or two female people to support with the following tasks:
- Prompts with eating (preparing breakfast and drinks), prompts and support to select appropriate clothing, reassurance whilst showering/bathing, prompts with medication, support with cleaning and prompts with laundry
Due to the nature of her conditions, the tasks may vary daily depending on how she is feeling physically and mentally.
- Preparing breakfast, lunch and drinks for the day, support with washing hair, assisting with cleaning and laundry, assistance with dressing.
- Checking oven, bath and unused electrical items are turned off.
- Help to prepare evening meal and occasionally batch cooking to freeze.
- Support with shopping as required.
- Support to change bedding as required.
- Support with decluttering and organise the house to be more manageable.
- Support to plan journeys to be able to access the community or attend support groups and appointments to reduce anxiety, manage mental wellbeing.

- Worker required for two to three sessions per week for a total of 5 hours to cover the times existing PA is not available. Would like a visit on either Monday, Thurs and or Friday and can be flexible with days and times. Occasional extra hours on an adhoc basis.
