About Us:

Hive Healthcare is seeking experienced Kitchen Assistants to join their team, working in care and residential homes in Belfast.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring the provision of meals to residents.

You will work closely with the kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to the efficient functioning of the kitchen.


Hours- Temporary placements. 8 hour shifts.


Pay Rate:

- £10.44-£15 per hour


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the preparation of meals under the supervision of the Cook.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage of food items.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and chemicals.

Requirements:


  • 6 months kitchen experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • HACCP knowledge
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type:
Zero hours contract


Salary:
£10.44-£15.00 per hour
