Our client is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Assistants to join their Wimborne Office during an exciting time as we continue to deliver excellent service to our clients.


You will provide assistant paralegal support to our Residential Conveyancing Department dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion and post completion.

You will be responsible for supporting a busy team with a varied caseload covering a variety of conveyancing matters, taking calls, looking after clients, maintaining relations with estate agents and other third parties and assisting with file management.


If you have previous legal paralegal or secretarial experience within residential conveyancing and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office along with good typing skills, we would love to hear from you.

Case management experience would also be advantageous.


Your role will involve:


  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and the Land Registry
  • Opening and closing files
  • Ordering searches
  • Carrying out AMKL and KYC checks
  • Drafting and preparing letters and legal documents
  • Diary management for the Residential Property Solicitor
  • Handling telephone queries from the client and 3rd parties
  • Preparing and overseeing exchanges and completions, under the supervision of the Solicitor
  • Post Exchange, Completion and postCompletion formalities
  • Academic qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths.
  • You will have minimum 12 months' experience as a conveyancing assistant / paralegal gained at a law firm, although 2 years' experience would be ideal.
  • An ability to work pursuant to strict compliance requirements, but also an ability to show initiative.
  • An ability to work both as part of a team and also on your own.
  • Strong focus on quality customer service delivery.
  • Respect for confidentiality and discretion.
  • Be a good verbal and written communicator.
  • Strong IT skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience using search providers and HMRC Portal and the Land Registry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to learn new systems especially case management
