Denholm are delighted to be working with our financial services client on a great opportunity for a Architecture Practice Lead to join their team.

This is a UK based remote working role.

This role would suit someone coming from a software development backgroundwho perhaps works in Solution Architect role and has leadership capabilities.

Strong influencing and communication skills are essential for this role.

Experience leading teams of software developers including the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud (we use App Services, APIM, Functions, Cosmos, and SQL)
  • Frontend single page apps (we use React, including React Native, via TypeScript)
  • Backend REST microservices (we use.
NET6)

  • Claimsbased token management and OpenID/OAuthbased identity systems
  • Familiarity with automated CI/CD processes which include testing and quality assurance (we use Azure DevOps)
Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders:

  • Influencing and guiding technology decisions in delivery teams
  • Managing operational, governance, and security personnel and their concerns
  • Representing the organisation and department to customers
  • Monitoring and guiding thirdparty suppliers and service providers
  • Liaising with senior management to refine department policy and processes

Familiar with enterprise patterns and practices:

  • Event-driven architectures
  • Strangler, BFF, anticorruption layer, and other design patterns
  • Azure DevOps and Git as a code repository, build, and deployment engine

Non technical skills required:

  • Fast learner, able to explore, assess, and evaluate new technologies accurately and independently
  • Strong technical communicator able to work with a multidisciplinary development team to mature working practices
  • Excellent verbal skills ability to network, connect people, and marshal a team to solve problems
  • Excellent written skills ability to review documentation and identify issues and improvements
