An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen within BCP council to work with Children in Care and Care Leavers to ensure their voice and experience is heard; to ensure services that are there to support them are developed with their experience and feedback at the centre of our work.

The post holder will be required to work closely with colleagues within BCP council and externally to strive to achieve the best outcomes for Children in Care and Care Leavers.

The successful applicant will be passionate about engaging children and young people in a range of ways, for example:

The supporting of Unite and Insight, groups that are open to young people (up to 17 years) and care leavers years) that work to ensure the services provided are informed by their experience as people who receive those services.
Enabling Children in Care and Care Leavers to contribute to and develop the Corporate Parenting Board, influencing and providing a role to ensure accountability to the children and young people the Board is there to support.
Ensuring the lived experience of the children and young people that BCP supports is shared across services to develop our learning and improve our services.
Celebrating the achievements of Children in Care and Care Leavers through all our work, including the coordination of celebratory events.
