Job Description:
As a Planner / Scheduler within our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of our social housing properties.
You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance tasks, ensuring that our residents enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for making a positive impact on our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule maintenance and repair tasks for our social housing properties.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders.
- Allocate resources and assign tasks to maintenance staff based on priority and urgency.
- Maintain and update the scheduling system to track progress and allocate resources effectively.
- Communicate with residents to coordinate maintenance visits, ensuring mínimal disruption.
- Monitor and report on the progress of scheduled tasks to management.
- Help develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize future issues.
- Assist in the creation and management of maintenance budgets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the social housing sector.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with residents and maintenance teams.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and maintenance management software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- A commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in social housing.
