Description
Ideal background:
- Strong knowledge of modern C++ principles and practice (C++11/14 mandatory, 17 desirable) and C++ frameworks
- Able to interpret engineering maths and physics concepts and implementing as software models and algorithms
- Good software development skills in other languages including C, C#, Python
- Ability to work effectively within an agile development team and with people across all organisational levels
- Ability to communicate complex software concepts in both written and verbal formats to management as well as the technical team
Desirables:
- Bachelor/Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the desired technical disciplines,
- Significant experience using both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience in participating in software development cycles using agile methods and processes.
- Ability to implement and utilize systems and processes for ensuring quality and configuration management for all prototypes and products.
- JavaScript skills, with proficient in modern frontend technologies and frameworks (VueJS, Angular, React, JQuery, etc.)
- Experience with cloud and distributed platforms such as Docker, Puppet, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry.
This fantastic role comes with a starting salary to £70,000 p/a and is accompanied with a benefits package which includes a 7-10% performance related bonus, a contributary pension (They will double what you put in to a max 5% (So 15% total), 26-27 Days Holiday+ Bank Holidays, Sick Pay, Private Medical Cover (BUPA), Life Insurance (6x Salary) and they will refund relevant tuition to name but a few.
